Dear Loudoun Valley Estates Homeowner,

On behalf of the Board of Directors regarding the Seventh Annual Meeting of the Loudoun Valley Estates Homeowners Association. In accordance with Article II, Sections 2.1 and 2.3 (a) of the Bylaws of the Association, Notice of the Annual Meeting is hereby given. At the Annual Meeting, the members will elect two homeowners to serve on the Board. Both homeowners will serve a three year term.

Covenants Committee Meeting

The Covenants Committee is scheduled to meet Wednesday, March 10th at 7:30 p.m. to review completed architectural modification applications. Applications are available online or can be requested from the On-Site office via e-mail to hoaoffice@lvehoa.com. Completed applications should be submitted prior to the Wednesday meeting. You can bring them by the office during regular hours, leave them in the drop box located outside the Clubhouse front door, e-mail to hoaoffice@lvehoa.com or fax to (703) 729-2230. Questions can be directed to the HOA office.

Yard Waste Collection – Wednesdays

Starting March 1^st LVE’s yard waste collection will be in effect each Wednesday. Please contact AAA or the On-Site Office if your yard waste is not collected. Do not put your yard waste at the curb for collection prior to Tuesday night as it detracts from the beauty of the community.

LVE Neighborhood Watch Meeting

Home Safety Class! Light refreshments will be served.

Please make plans to attend the Neighborhood Watch meeting on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the main clubhouse located at 43636 Lucketts Bridge Circle. We will be joined by Deputy Specialist Payne from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Department, who will be offering this presentation on Home Safety.

In order to keep our program active, we are required to conduct two meetings every year, so please come out to the next meeting and support this important program.

Important dates for Torpedoes Swim Team - Mark your calendars!
Torpedoes Swim Team registration starts April 10th. Members of the committee will be at the clubhouse to answer questions and accept registration forms on April 10th, 11th, and 24th (see specific times below). A $25 discount is offered to applications received by April 24th.

Earth Day Clean-Up

Earth Day Clean-Up at LVE - Saturday April 18th 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

In celebration of Earth Day we are organizing a community clean-up. Residents interested in participating should come to the Clubhouse at 43636 Lucketts Bridge Circle on Saturday at 10 a.m. Please wear comfortable clothing, gloves and shoes that you don't mind getting dirty. The focus will be along the trails and common areas. Light refreshments will be served after the event. It was a beautiful day last year and we had a great turnout! Let's make this one even better! (Raindate Sunday, April 19th)

Spring cleaning time! Get rid of the clutter in your basements and garages and make a little extra cash at the same time. Set up on your driveway, in your garage or on your front yard. Holiday Decoration Removal

We ate, we drank, we sang, we gifted and we decorated. It was a wonderful Holiday season, but alas, it has come to an end, and it's time to put away our decorations until next year.

The HOA asks residents to kindly remove all exterior Holiday decorations by the weekend of January 17th, 2009. Seasonal decorations and lights may not remain up year-round and must be removed between holidays. The LVE Architectural Guidelines state that Holiday & Seasonal Lighting and Decorations may not be installed more than 30 days prior to the holiday and must be removed within 3 weekends after the holiday.

Parking on the Wrong Side of the Road

Not only is it unsafe but parking on the street in the wrong direction (driver side to the curb) is illegal in Loudoun County (see item 10 below), and the State of Virginia. Please take a moment and refresh your memory on the parking laws.

Trash Can & Recycling Toter Storage

Just a friendly reminder – trash cans and recycling toters should be stored out of sight. So, if you hide them in your bushes where we can still see them they are NOT out of sight. And if you park them on your driveway in plain view they are NOT out of sight. It is a small thing but it goes a long way to keeping the community a nice place to live. Thanks.
