ASHBURN, Va. (WUSA) -- Wednesday afternoon a man allegedly tried to get an 8-year-old boy to get in his pick-up truck, say Loudoun County Sheriff's Office authorities. They are investigating the incident, which happened in the 43500 block of Osage Ct. in Ashburn, Va. (near Broad Run HS)
Loudoun County Sheriff's Office says an 8-year-old said he was in the driveway when an older model, white pick-up truck pulled up and the driver asked him to get into the truck. Instead, the child ran inside his home and told a parent. When the parent went outside, the parent did not see the vehicle.
Authorities say officers canvassed the area and a neighbor reported seeing a pick-up truck driving in the area. The truck was further described as being low to the ground with a loud muffler.
Two White males around the age of 20 were inside the truck, say authorities.
