Parents and their daughters interested in learning about and/or joining Girl Scouts are invited to a Girl Scout Information Night scheduled from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm at Rosa Lee Carter Elementary School in Ashburn.  This will be a fun evening at which parents will learn about the organization, how girls become members, and about volunteer opportunities.  Troop leaders and co-leaders will be available to help answer questions and girls will have a chance to meet Girl Scouts and participate in a craft with them.
Girl Scouts is a world association of girls in grades Kindergarten through 12th grade that builds girls’ confidence and character.  Girl Scouts was established 100 years ago and chartered by the U.S. Congress in 1950.  In Loudoun County there are 5,400 girls who participate in 485 troops.  This is the Girl Scout’s 100 year anniversary…what an exciting time to join!  Questions?  Please contact Rosa Lee Carter Elementary's Girl Scout Troop Coordinator, Susan Zannos at This email address is being protected from spambots.
