Attention The on-site management office just got a call from the Sheriff's office reminding residents to CLOSE your garage doors, LOCK all your exterior doors and SECURE possessions out of view in your vehicles and LOCK the doors. There have been two break-ins over the past 24hr within Loudoun Valley Estates where these preventative measures were not taken. Neighborhood Watch meeting - success

10.4.10 Another resident has reported cars broken into, this time in the Manors section of the community. The Sheriff's office has been called to investigate. Please ensure you lock all of your doors and windows and use your alarm system if you have one. Also please report any suspicious activity to the police as soon as you see it (non-emergency number (703) 777-1021.  One item that can help is to help keep the community well lit, please keep your front porch lights lit. We'll keep updating this section as new information comes to us. Neighborhood Watch Coordinator NEEDED

Residents - We are looking for one or two people to volunteer to lead LVE's Neighborhood Watch program. The time committment is approximately 20 hours a year. General requirements include: attend a minimum of 2 training courses a year with the Sheriff's Office, post news and events on the website through the members forum, write 2 articles a year for the newsletter, and provide an update at the LVE Annual Meeting. A child was struck by a vehicle in Loudoun Valley Estates

This week a child was struck by a vehicle in Loudoun Valley Estates and taken away in an ambulance.

It is not known whether speed was a factor.in this incident, nor who was at fault. Despite new speed limit signs, signs in the clubhouse, articles in the newsletter, website and mass e-mails, speeding continues to be an ongoing concern in our community.

Parking on the Wrong Side of the Road

nhw Not only is it unsafe but parking on the street in the wrong direction (driver side to the curb) is illegal in Loudoun County (see item 10 below), and the State of Virginia. Please take a moment and refresh your memory on the parking laws.

LVE Neighborhood Watch Meeting

nhw.gif Home Safety Class! Light refreshments will be served.

Please make plans to attend the Neighborhood Watch meeting on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the main clubhouse located at 43636 Lucketts Bridge Circle.
We will be joined by Deputy Specialist Payne from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Department, who will be offering this presentation on Home Safety.

In order to keep our program active, we are required to conduct two meetings every year, so please come out to the next meeting and support this important program.

Missing Mountain Bike

nhw On August 31, 2009 a bicycle was stolen from the garage of a home on Piedmont Hunt Terrace. Their garage door was left open, as is a common practice, while one of the homeowners went jogging. The other homeowner was home at the time.

If you saw someone take this bicycle, please report it to the Loudoun County Sheriffs Department. Please try and give an accurate description of the person or persons who took this bicycle.
